Swimming Lessons

Tyler goes to swim lessons every Friday. There are only 3 boys in his class, so that is great! They get lots of time with the teacher and get to do lots of stuff. He loves it :)

Kaylee 6 months

Kaylee had her 6 month check-up yesterday. She's healthy, happy, and just about the cutest little thing we've ever seen!! She weighs 17lbs. 1 oz (45%) and 25 3/4 inches (50%). She's sitting up on her own now pretty well...she lasts on her own for a few minutes until she gets excited and knocks herself over. She's talking and babbling all the time. She says dada alot and loves to giggle at Tyler. She loves playing in her exersaucers. She's figured out how to push the buttons to make noises. One of her favorite things is her jumperoo. She's a wild girl in it and jumps like crazy! She's moving all over the place in her walker, mostly backwards, but is starting to figure out if she leans forward she goes that way. I'm sure it won't be too long before she's moving all over the house. She has started baby food and so far loves it all! She loves to sit and dig in baskets of toys and everything goes in her mouth. Tyler likes to call her "spiky" lately because her hair is coming in thicker and standing straight up! ha! We sure do love her and are having lots of fun with her!!

1st Movie

We took Tyler to his first real movie this past weekend. We saw Alvin and the Chipmunks. Emily came along with us too....which of course Tyler loved because he loves to be with his cousins! The movie was really cute and Tyler thought it was funny. He loved it and is talking about going back to see another movie. Of course now we've got to go to McDonald's and try to collect all the chipmunks in the happy meals :)

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year! On New Year's Eve we went out to Brent, Angie, Ashley, & Kylie's house. We had dinner and the kids played....all night! We had fun playing cards and dice games and watching the kids play. The kids were finally slowing down at 11:00, so we watched the ball drop on TV and pretended it was midnight because we thought we were going to have to go home. But, then the kids got their second wind and got all involved playing again so we celebrated again at midnight! It was fun! :-)

Christmas

We started our Christmas on Christmas Eve morning at our house. Joe and I opened our gifts to each other and we gave the kids our gifts. We figured Tyler could play with these gifts all day and enjoy them before he got more.
Here's Tyler playing his new Diego Dinosaur Rescue Wii game. He's really good at it!!

Here's Kaylee with her new blankie friend she loves! Tyler picked this out for her all by himself.

Christmas Eve evening, we headed to church. Here's the kiddos all dressed and looking good for church.

After church we headed over to Grandpa and Grandma DeVary's house with the whole family. We had dinner and opened presents. The adults had a gift exchange and everyone bought gifts for the kids. We got lots of good stuff!

All the little ones waiting patiently to open the presents.

When we got home that night, Tyler fixed Santa some bunny milk (strawberry milk), chocolate chip cookies, and some carrots for the reindeer.

Santa was very good to Tyler this year. I think he got everything he asked for and more :)

After we did Santa gifts and things on Christmas morning, Tyler's Grandma and Grandpa Heater came over for breakfast and we opened their gifts. One of his favorite gifts from them were these Diego roller skates. He's getting pretty good!

After naps, we headed over to my Mom and Dad's for dinner and more presents. Kaylee was in the best mood while we were there. She got pretty wild hollering and kicking in her bouncy seat. Here she is as happy as can be amongst all her presents.
Tyler was very excited to get this Wonderpets Schoolhouse.

She's a happy little girl :)

Bring on the cereal!!

Monday, December 21, 2009

We're just counting down the days until Christmas now! Tyler asks everyday...how many days left today, mom? We've been busy finishing up our Christmas shopping, and wrapping gifts. Tyler's been keeping busy lately making all kinds of Christmas crafts. He's been a "painting fool" (as he likes to call himself....mmm..wonder who taught him that?) Kaylee loves to just watch every move Tyler makes during the day. He's great entertainment to her! We starting giving her some rice cereal last week. So far she loves it :-) We'll post more later.
Merry Christmas!!!

We had to take a break from shopping and ride the train in the mall.

Looking full and happy!!

The First Snow

Today we woke up to see snow on the ground! Tyler was so excited...he wanted to go out and play in it right away. I had to run to Walmart and get him some new snow pants first. As you can see from the pictures, by the time we got outside most of the snow had already melted away.
Oh well...he had fun anyways :-)

All bundled up and ready to go!

Grandpa was here and went out to play in the snow with Tyler

Here they are making some mini snowmen

HO, HO, HO

Today we went to visit Santa at SF. Tyler was soooo excited. He had been practicing what he was going to tell Santa so he wouldn't forget to tell him anything that he really wanted for Christmas. He jumped right up on Santa's lap and starting talking. We had to hurry him along because there was a long line behind us and he was just talking away to Santa. As we walked away he said "mom, I forgot to tell Santa what Kaylee wanted!". He's so funny! The kids each got a gift card for Toys R Us from Santa so we headed over there when we were done. Tyler had a hard time choosing what he wanted to get, but finally decided on a Diego toy. We saved Kaylee's for another day.

Waiting in line to see Santa

Don't you just want to kiss those cheeks!!??
