More bubbles, please!

Tyler finally likes to have bubbles in his bath. For some reason, he would always freak out when we would put bubbles in his bath and refuse to get in. I guess he had some kind of fear of bubbles. Well....he likes them in his bath now and says "more bubbles, please" (he now thinks that if he puts "please" along with any statement, he'll get his way...it's too funny!!)

Labor Day Weekend

We started our long weekend out Friday night at McD's. Tyler loves playing in the play area there! Saturday we just hung out at home and did a little shopping. Sunday we headed over to Peoria and went to the zoo. Forgot my camera, so no pics of the zoo. I bought a disposable camera, but can't figure out how to get them scanned in so I can post them. Oh well! It was alot of fun....Tyler loves seeing the animals. There was an area with a pony that you could get really close to and we had to go back and visit several times (Tyler's kind of had an obsession with cows, horses, and ponies for awhile now!) Tyler (and Joe) both took naps in the car while I got to do some shopping at the mall. We then headed down by the river to check out all the boats and there was a great playground area that he had lots of fun on. Monday we went to the Labor Day parade. It was really hot and really long! Tyler enjoyed it, but the bands were a little too loud and too close for him...not too excited about getting the candy this year, but I'm sure that will change.

A Fun Weekend

On Saturday, we went with the Arbuckles to the "Day of the Dozer" at the Interstate Center. Basically, it was a bunch of construction equipment that the kids could watch and they could also take rides on. Tyler decided that he just wanted to watch this year. He loved watching all the diggers and dumpers in action. The lines for rides were REALLY long, so we didn't mind that he just wanted to watch this year.

Tyler and Corey in their construction hats.

Corey got up in this digger for a ride. They got to dig some dirt and spin all around in it. He loved it!

Tyler liked climbing up in these tractors....only because his mommy could come with him.

When we left Dozer Days, we headed downtown Bloomington to the Taste of Bloomington. Kevin Stearns was playing and we sat outside and had fun listening to him for awhile. The kids loved getting his instruments and dancing and playing along (remember the good old days when we used to listen to him at the bars and dance and play along just like the kids?!....haha)

My "New Crew"....Aren't they too cute!!

Natalie, Tyler, and Brady

This week I start babysitting full time again. Tyler and I might have a little trouble adjusting to the early mornings, but we're looking forward to having the house full of kids to play with again. Last week I watched the kids two days and it went really well. Natalie was a perfect little angel and Brady was great as always. I think we're going to have lots of fun together this year! I'm also watching the 3 neighbor kids after-school again this year. Tyler loves playing with the big kids when he gets up from his nap.

Playgroup at the Zoo

Tyler, Ashley, Corey, Austin, Brady, Ethan, and Ethan K.

We've had so much fun this summer with our playgroup! This week we went to the Miller Park Zoo. The kids loved seeing all the animals and just love being around each other. This might have been one of the last playdates that we are able to go to this year. I start babysitting next week and I'm not sure how much I'll venture out with all the kiddos. I'll have to see how things go once we get started.

Summer is almost over :-(

Joe took the pool down this weekend, so I guess that means summer is almost over..... bummer :-( Tyler had so much fun playing in the water that was left in it as Joe put everything away.

Happy Birthday Grandpa D.!

Sunday we had a cookout and birthday party for Grandpa DeVary. The kids all had fun riding in the wagon down the hill in the backyard.

The Fair

Saturday we went out to the Fair with Grandma and Grandpa Heater. Tyler had so much fun looking at all the animals and rode on a few rides. I'm sure next year he'll be a little braver and love to ride on more :-)

Tyler loved riding the pony!

Tyler got his face painted...he was spiderman!

Riding in the Firetruck....all by himself!!

Miller Park Zoo

Last week we went to the Miller Park Zoo with Rachel, Brady and Natalie. We had great weather...not too hot...and all the animals were out and about. After, we headed to McD's for lunch and the boys played some more in the play area. Fun day!!

"Worker Guy"

Tyler likes to put on his tool belt and call himself a "worker guy" and fix up all kinds of stuff around the house.
